For this album, these songs more or less depict a theme of "peace and love." Four of the tracks addresses 'peace' ie: "Live and Let Live (Love is The Answer)" addresses world peace where ALL people can-or should be able to-live together. Song "What We Need is Love" also lends itself to this theme. "I Can't Breathe (Black Lives Matter)" comes from the disenfranchised people (which includes ALL people) where one can 'breathe' and live freely. This song was originally released in 2015 and was more that of an alternative ballad. Then came the horrific killing of George Floyd in 2020. Pat decided to re-release this as a reggae track as that genre lends itself better to the murder-and on going murders-of innocent black, indigenous people of colour not only in America but also Canada and many other countries and communities. This isn't just a 'protest song' but actually a sombre song about the difficulties some cultures face just to survive and to provide for their children and families; and not be stigmatized by an unfair system both political and societal. Song "Deep Inside of You" derived from seeing so many young people of all cultures doubting themselves during these trying times both economically and socially, while battling bouts of low self esteem. The lyrics urges one to lift themselves up by first digging DEEP inside of oneself to find the courage to persevere and reach for that dream that seems illusive and unattainable. As a former Social Worker, Pat is mindful of the debilitating forces that can and do affect one's attempt to achieve one's goal. Song "Don't You Give Up" though has a Gospel yet non denominational message, speaks to this same dilemma. Songs "Are You For Real" celebrates one's discovery that love is attainable, while song "Still in Love With You" is reminiscent of anyone who have loved and lost, while song "On Our Way to Love" celebrates the joy of finding new love, new beginnings!
